The Institute for Healthier Communities is a community-based organization dedicated to empowering learners to become impactful health professionals who reflect the diversity of our communities. We accomplish this by providing support for young community leaders in their journey to become clinicians, researchers, and public health professionals in the form of mentorship, education, skill development, and engagement in community-based projects through our Scholars program. Additionally, we provide sessions that are open to the public to help learners build knowledge and skills, and be successful in applying to medical school and other graduate programs.
